DonorsChoose.org
Ok, I have friends who use donorschoose.org all the time. So, I decided to have a go at it. I filled out the online forms and shopped for a listening center which is what my classroom is really lacking. My request can be seen here. I am so excited to have my request posted... now I just need to work on getting it funded. I posted it on my facebook and I hope my friends on there will spread the word. I'm very excited! I'll keep everyone posted about this.

Good luck with it! I have had 3 projects funded with DonorsChoose and I LOVE them. This post actually just inspired me to go put up two more that I had thought about in the spring and then pushed to the back of my head during the summer.
ReplyDeleteI've found that my proposals that are under $600 get funded pretty fast. I had a proposal funded in under a day once....and one time, I literally watched a proposal, sort of like a countdown, as more and more people donated to it. That was kind of fun ;)
I've heard of this but yet I've never done it! I need to!!!! I am going to check it out for sure! Hope you get your listening center!! Any tips on how to get started will very much be appreciated!!!
